The Deputy Minister for Education U Nay Myo Hlaing, accompanied by directors-general and responsible officials from the Shan State Education Office, inspected the construction works at basic education schools and the year-end examinations for the primary school level Grade-5 and lower secondary school level Grade-9 in Kalaw Township this morning.
Firstly, the Deputy Minister arrived at No. 6 Basic Education Post Primary School in Heho, Kalaw Township, and met with the headmistress, community elders and school trustees. At the meeting, he emphasised that effectively developing students into educated and, not only teachers but also school trustees and community elders need to cooperate and work together, so that students will become intellectuals and intelligentsia and the end results will be more effective. He urged teachers not only to educate students but also to be patriotists, nationalists, and people who appreciate and cherish traditional culture and heritage. Furthermore, he emphasized that all teachers must work together unitedly for the educational advancement of the school. He then inspected the school campus, addresses the needs, and provided honourarium to the teachers.
Afterwards, the Deputy Minister visited Basic Education Middle School, Thayetpu Village in Kalaw Township and No.2 Basic Education High School (Branch) Aungpan in Kalaw Township, where he observed and encouraged students sitting for the Mathematics exam on the third day of the year end examinations for the Grade-5 (the primary school level) and the Grade-9 (the lower secondary school level) for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Then, he proceeded to Basic Education Middle School in Yaecho Village, Aungpan, Kalaw Township, as well as No. 3 Basic Education Primary School and No. 1 Basic Education High School in Kalaw, where he inspected the image and the cleanliness of schools, and the systematic management and utilisation of school libraries. He also inspected the classrooms, school buildings and football field ground preparation work. During the inspection, he stressed the importance of workplace safety, quality standards and timely completion of projects, and coordinated the fulfilment of necessary requirements.
