A collective Htamane (traditional Myanmar sticky rice delicacy) making competition for families of staff from the Ministry of Education was successfully and joyfully held this afternoon at Office No. (13) of the Ministry of Education in Naypyidaw.
First, staff members from different departments competed in singing performances, and afterwards the Htamane making competition began with a total of ten teams, including teams from eight departments under the Union Minister’s Office and Naypyidaw State Academy, who participated happily according to Myanmar’s traditional cultural customs.
The event was attended and enjoyed by Union Minister Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, directors-general from the Union Minister’s Office and departments, the rector of Naypyidaw State Academy, deputy permanent secretaries, deputy directors-general, officials, staff members, and their families.
Afterwards, the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, directors-general from the departments, and responsible officials presented honorary prizes to the teams that won first prize, second prize, third prize, and consolation prizes in both the Htamane making competition and the singing competition.
