As the Government provides support and fulfills needs of civil servants to the utmost best, civil servants must serve the country loyally as good staff

The Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein arrived at the Naypyitaw State Academy this morning and met with the rector and pro-rector of the academy, professors cum heads, faculty members, staff, and students.

 

The Deputy Ministers, Dr Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, Director Generals, the Rector of the Academy, deputy permanent secretaries, pro-rectors, professors (heads of department), faculty members, students of International Relations, Diplomacy and Law attended the meeting.

 

Firstly, the Union Minister said that she was delighted that the Naypyitaw State Academy is conducting student-centered approach, project-based learning, and library-based learning; and encouraged ongoing dedication and effort. Moreover, she stated that as civil servants of the country, faculty members and staff should strive to continuously improve their personal qualities in accordance with the motto “Good civil servants make a good nation,” and that as the Government is providing support and fulfilling the needs of civil servants to the utmost best, civil servants must serve the country loyally as good staff. Furthermore, she said that it is necessary to correctly cast vote for representatives who can truly serve the country in the upcoming multi-party democratic general election.

 

Having met with students of International Relations, Diplomacy and Law, the Union Minister said that the reason for such meeting was to fulfil the needs of teaching-learning situations, and that the final year students should think critically and choose innovative project-based research topics. Moreover, not only can students have their own experience in voting in the upcoming general election, but also, as observers of polling stations, they can get the opportunities to write their research papers based on their experiences of the election, witnessing the competition of the political parties. The Union Minister then observed the students’ theoretical and practical learning situation.

 

Subsequently, at Office No. 13, Ministry of Education, the Union Minister, the Deputy Ministers and officials concerned attended the New Year’s Eve gathering dinner, the ceremony of giving New Year allowances, the award-giving ceremony for staff with full attendance throughout the year, and the ceremony of distributing relief supplies to staff families who were temporarily living in shelters due to the earthquake.

 

Yesterday afternoon, the Union Minister had a meeting with the directors, regional education officers, district education officers and township education officers at the meeting hall of Office No. 13, it is learned.
