The Republic of the Union of Myanmar & The Republic of India Sign MOU for Support of Laboratory Equipment and Apparatus to Naypyitaw State Academy

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of India for supporting laboratory equipment and apparatus for Naypyitaw State Academy was held at the meeting hall of Naypyitaw State Academy at 9:00 a.m. this morning.

 

The Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein, , the Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint, directors-general from the departments, the rector of Nypyitaw State Academy, H.E. Mr. Abhay Thakur, the ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and representatives from India attended the ceremony.

 

First and foremost, the ambassador, Mr. Abhay Thakur, explained that the purpose of the MoU is to provide laboratory equipment and apparatuses for research purposes aiming to promote the collaboration of education between Myanmar and India, to strengthen and enhance bilateral relations, and to enhance the education of Myanmar.

 

Then, the Deputy Minister and the Ambassador of the Republic of India signed the MoU.

 

Subsequently, the Union Minister mentioned that this occasion was the meaningful result of the relation between Myanmar and India, and that she believed the project would be accomplished effectively and successfully. Teaching, learning and research projects of Naypyitaw State Academy will benefit from the provision of laboratory equipment for Physics and Chemistry, scientific equipment for research purposes, laboratory apparatus and software including modern devices under the MoU. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, the Union Minister then expressed gratitude to all the people who collaborated with the government of India.

 

Afterwards, on behalf of the Union Minister, Dr Nu Nu Lwin, the rector of Nypyitaw State Academy, gave a commemorative gift to the Ambassador of the Republic of India and the  Ambassador gave commemorative gifts to the Union Minister and the Deputy Minister.
