The Prize-giving Ceremony for the 25th Silver Jubilee Research Conference of the Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science and Science Fair (2026) was held this afternoon at the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) at the University of Yangon.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Zaw Myint, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Executive Members of the Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science, directors-general, rectors, pro-rectors, professors, local and international paper presenters, invited guests and officials concerned.
At the ceremony, the Deputy Minister delivered a congratulatory speech. Then the Deputy Minister, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science presented the Academy Awards to the winners. After that, the Executive Members of the Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science, directors-general, and officials concerned presented the awards to the winners of the first, second, third and commendation prizes in each discipline for the Best Paper Award. Then the deputy directors-general and pro-rectors gave the prizes for the Best Science Fair Logo, Best Poster, and Best Science Display Booth, and officials concerned presented the certificates of honour to the international paper presenters.
The Prize-giving Ceremony of the 25th Silver Jubilee Research Conference of the Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science and Science Fair (2026) was held from February 5 to 7, and the researchers from local and international universities presented a total of 312 research papers including 15 international papers across 33 disciplines in social, economic, and environmental sectors. It is learned that the selected Academy Awards papers, Best Paper Awards, and best discipline-wise research papers will be compiled, edited, and published in research journal.
