Yangon, 13th December
The Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint, together with Director Generals and officials, conducted an inspection tour of University Football Training Ground in Tha Htone Street, Kamayut Township this morning. During the inspection, the Deputy Minister coordinated to renovate running tracks and training ground. Consequently, he met students who are in training from Yangon University of Foreign Languages and Yangon University of Education at the training ground and gave them encouragement and arranged to provide them energy-boosting foods and drinks daily.
Subsequently, the Deputy Minister also inspected East Yangon University and stressed the need to improve the image of the university, to raise awareness of systematic disposal of garbage, to keep the classrooms, clean desks and whiteboards, to encourage students to play in the sports fields and stadiums and addressed the needs.
Yesterday morning, the Deputy Minister made an inspection of housings at Mindama Pyin Nya Yeike Thar in Hlaing Township, teachers’ dormitories, students’ hostels, indoor stadium, University Guest House on Hlaing Campus and the roads on Hlaing Campus and Inya Road and made the necessary arrangements.
He then visited No. 2 Basic Education High School, No. 17 Basic Education Primary School, No. 2 Basic Education Middle School in Mayangone Township. During the visit, he addressed the needs for carrying out maintenance and provided books and stationaries for the students.
At noon, he inspected the developmental works in the Recreation Centre and the University’s Football Field and preparations for the celebrations of the Silver Jubliee at Yangon University of Economics, Ywa Tha Gyi.
